Tips for Traveling During the Holiday Season

Vacation Coordinators doesn’t want you to spend your holidays in the airport. Here are some tips to get you through Security Checkpoints quickly and to your destination safely.

Dress for Speed

  • Avoid wearing heavy metals such as jewelry, belt buckles, underwire bras or steel toe boots.
  • Be sure to remove keys and loose change from your pockets and place them in your carry-on.
  • Remove your coat upon arriving at the airport and place it in your carry-on bag.
  • Blazers, suit jackets, and bulky sweaters all have to be removed when going through the metal detectors. Avoid wearing these items or take them off before getting to the Security Checkpoint.
  • Wear shoes that you can remove and put back on easily.
